Have you got a passion for retro fashion, the Victorians maybe, or even medieval architecture? Or have you been researching your family tree and have found some skeletons in the closet you’d like to share with us? Maybe you have lived through an interesting period in history and can tell us your memories? We are looking for short stories and articles that are original and well-written, and must be on an historical theme. Short stories and longer articles should be no longer than 2,000 words. We are also interested in shorter articles of 500-1,000 words. Contributions should not have been published elsewhere. We are a small organisation and just starting out, so we are unable to offer payment. However, if your short story or article is selected for publication you will receive a free copy of the edition of Vintage Script in which your piece appears (or a refund to the value of one copy of the magazine if you have already subscribed) and the chance to see your name in print…so get scribbling! Please email your submission to vintagescript@fsmail.net and mark the subject line Short story or Article and indicate the edition you are submitting to (Spring 2012 etc). You can submit up to three items per edition. More guidance is available on editor Emma Louise Oram's blog.
